大約是2006年的冬天，我當時的樂團在小客廳(現在的光復北路跟南京東路交叉口，已經變成波斯天堂)有一場演出，決定要做這首歌。
因為這樣去找了這部電影來看，同時買了原聲帶(每首歌都超好聽啊!!!)。之後大受感動。至今已看了超過十次。
這算是一部搖滾音樂劇，改編自百老匯有名的舞台劇，劇情內容大致如下：
出生在東德（昔時柏林圍牆尚未拆除）的主角(Hansol)，幼時曾受美國大兵的父親性侵，後來又為了離開東德嫁給另一個美國大兵，而做了變性手術，卻意外失敗而XX剩一吋，這同時也是本片片名與樂團名稱的由來。
用母親的名字(Hedwig)跟著美國大兵到了美國後卻馬上被拋棄，他開始跟一些韓國太太組團，因此結識了一個喜愛音樂的青澀小男生，他(她?)教他彈吉他、幫他取了一個充滿搖滾味的藝名--Tommy Gnosis（擺明就是抄襲Oasis啊！連他後來走紅後的標誌也超像。)、兩個人一起寫了一些歌，度過一段快樂的時光，最後則因Tommy無法接受愛上一個變性人(還是失敗的)因而逃跑，此戀情也無疾而終。
結果Tommy卻靠著那些當初一起寫的歌曲成為搖滾巨星，對這段過往隻字不提。不甘心的Hedwig組了一個樂團(團名即為本片片名--Hedwig and Angryinch)，死命的跟著Gnosis做世界巡演--舉例來說，就是假設Gnosis在小巨蛋開演唱會，他就在隔壁爛爛的小酒吧演唱。大概是這樣。
這首歌可以算是這部電影的主題曲，歌詞非常長，但實在寫得非常好。

歌詞的創作是取材自古希臘哲學家柏拉圖的著作--『會飲篇』而成，當時古希臘的風氣是極度藐視女性，認為男性之間的愛才是真誠的愛。這就是誕生在這樣的一個時代背景下的對話集。
很遺憾我愛的還是女人，但還是被這首歌深深打動，多次聽到落淚。
接下來來介紹這部片中其他我也非常喜歡的歌曲
劇中的Hedwig就像柏林圍牆一樣，橫跨在男與女中間，分隔開東與西、自由與獨裁。有如電影一開始的這首歌--Tear Me Down
電影中他在回憶過去那段一無所有的時光時所唱的歌--Wig In A Box
還有他的第一首創作歌曲，也是他首次見到Gnosis時的歌。算是我最喜歡的一首歌(那個吉他手『關儀』實在笑死我)--Wicked Little Town
這首歌還有另外一個版本，在電影的最後，Gnosis對著卸下濃妝與誇張裝扮的Hedwig唱出心中真實的想法--Wicked Little Town(Tommy Gnosis)
電影的最後，Hedwig終於找回自我，勇於面對自己的一切，就像深夜中以令人平靜的語調持續播放的收音機(他現在的男朋友竟然是女生演的！)--Midnight Radio
以上是我最喜歡的幾首歌，很遺憾大部分都沒有中文字幕(我最早看的也是簡體字的字幕)。
有一件事一定要說，這部片的男主角，同時也是每首歌的主唱，更身兼此片的導演與編劇，是一個才華洋溢的英國青年。
他後來的電影我自然每部都沒有錯過，但他都沒有再下去演了，真是非常可惜。
分別是Short Bus與Rabbit Hole這兩部，中文譯名有點忘了，搜尋一下應該很容易找得到。
他每部電影都有很多用手繪的圖來演繹情緒起伏的橋段，所以我合理的懷疑那些圖也都是他親手畫的。(X的，這麼多才藝分一個給我多好啊。)
這部電影在去年(2012)被台灣的獨立樂團翻成中文版，並在華山Legacy演出。能讓更多人知道這樣的好音樂實在很棒，但我因為各種因素無法去現場支持，只在線上看過預告片段。
好吧！不可否認也是因為我實在不習慣翻成中文後的模樣。
